A warm welcome to all of our Lincoln families, returning and new. This marks the beginning of my 9th year at Lincoln - such an old timer. We are honored and enthused to be representing Lincoln as your PTA President for the 2009/2010 school year.

Our days here at Lincoln and our involvement in the classroom and PTA have been inspiring, educational and enriching...We have grown over these years along with our children. We urge you to get involved and stay involved. Being involved in school has continued to help us and our families grow through the experience, knowledge and friendships gained. Lincoln has been a great resource. The more we give the more we feel we get back. We have been so fortunate to meet and work with such an amazing group of parents, teachers and staff here at Lincoln. Lincoln is truly a special place. Our community works hard and well together in providing the best we can for our children. This year the PTA will continue to strive to give our children the best learning environment possible. There is much in store!

Lincoln is an exceptional place and this fine achievement was realized because of the great faculty, staff and parent community here. Our students enjoy a remarkable learning environment as a direct result of our successful efforts in working together through our PTA.

The PTA is a non-profit, charitable organization that exists to support the enhancement of educational programs at Lincoln. The PTA adds to our children’s learning experience through impressive support from our parents. We encourage everyone to become a member of the PTA, get involved at whatever level you are able. There are so many great things going on at Lincoln and so many great families making them happen.

A number of goals have been set for the year, one of which is to increase participation in The Lincoln Commitment, our largest and most important fundraiser.  TLC funds teacher and aides’ salaries in art, science, technology, reading, music and PE. Without your TLC donations these teachers would not be at Lincoln, enriching our children’s educational experience. Bretta Weiman and Carolyn Hurray head up our TLC Campaign. They are up and running with our fall TLC campaign. The PTA has lots planned but it is a team effort and Lincoln's children, through our PTA, needs whatever you can do to help. The economy is really tough right now and the PTA is feeling the effects too. We ask you to do the best you can. And remember, the only donation too small is no donation at all.

We urge you to get involved in the many opportunities that your PTA offers to help make this school year one of the best ever.
Our first PTA meeting is in the library at 12:15 on Wednesday September 9th. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. We do make a difference in our children’s lives. Please join us. If you want to be on the agenda or need any other information, please contact us a suzwoods@pacbell.net or pearsonlm@aol.com

Thank you for your support! We look forward to a successful, rewarding and fun year.
