Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School 2009-2010

Sending a warm welcome to all of our Lincoln families, returning and new!

We are honored and enthused to be representing Lincoln this year as your PTA Co-Presidents. This year will mark the beginning of Lisa's 9th year at Lincoln and Suzanne's 12th, and final year. With the wonderful PTA Board members and committee chairs that will lead the way we are excited about all that is ahead this year.
 
Lincoln is truly a special place. Lincoln’s great faculty, staff and parent community work hard and well together in providing the best we can for our children. Our students enjoy a remarkable learning environment as a direct result of our successful efforts in working together through our PTA.

The PTA is a non-profit, charitable organization that exists to support the enhancement of educational programs at Lincoln. We encourage everyone to become a member of the PTA and to get involved at whatever level you are able. There are so many great things going on at Lincoln and so many great families making them happen. Our Lincoln PTA is a great way to be a part of these wonderful years with your child. Please come by the Multi Purpose Room on the first day of school, right after you say good bye to your child. The PTA will be hosting a Welcome Back Coffee where you can reconnect with friends and meet new ones.

There are many opportunities to support Lincoln through your PTA. First and foremost on the list is supporting Lincoln PTA’s TLC Campaign. The Lincoln Commitment (TLC) is our largest and MOST important fundraiser and sets the financial tone for the school year. This donation is 100% tax deductible.

So, we urge you to get involved in the many opportunities that your PTA offers to help make this school year one of the best ever. There are many ways to give and help out, and the teachers, the PTA and your children really appreciate your time, talent and financial support. 

The current economic climate has had an impact on our budget. Working with our principal, Mrs. Holm and our teachers, adjustments have been necessary. Despite these challenging times, the PTA is committed in striving to give our children the best learning environment possible.  As a PTA we feel this will be a time of great growth and learning. We hope to embrace simplicity and enjoy all that is ahead. 

Our first PTA meeting is in the library at 12:15 PM on Wednesday September 9th. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. We do make a difference in our children’s lives. Please join us. If you have questions, please contact us at pearsonlm@aol.com or suzwoods@pacbell.net .
